Product Overview
A lightweight oil cleanser designed to dissolve makeup, sunscreen, excess sebum and oil-based impurities as the first step of an evening cleansing ritual.
The formula is built primarily around 50% soybean oil, supported by ginseng seed oil and ginseng extract. It emulsifies with water so that oil-soluble residue can be lifted from the skin and rinsed away before a water-based cleanser is used.
Within the Glass Ritual Pigmentation Collection, this is not a dark-spot treatment. Its role is to provide effective but comfortable first-step cleansing, particularly important for practitioners regularly using daytime sun protection and makeup.
Why We Chose It
We chose the Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil because pigmentation care begins with more than selecting brightening serums.
Daytime sun protection is particularly important when managing pigmentation, and sunscreen needs to be removed effectively at the end of the day.
The soybean-oil-based formula provides an effective way to dissolve sunscreen, makeup and excess sebum without turning the cleansing stage into another intensive treatment step.
The formula is also relatively streamlined, allowing the cleansing oil to perform one clearly defined job within the ritual.

- Are building a pigmentation-focused evening routine
- Want a dedicated first cleanser rather than expecting one cleanser to remove everything
Those with very reactive skin should introduce any new cleansing oil gradually and observe how their skin responds.
How to Use
Dispense approximately 2–3 pumps onto dry hands.
Gently massage over a dry face for around 30 seconds, concentrating on areas where sunscreen, makeup and sebum tend to accumulate.
Add a small amount of water and continue massaging until the oil turns milky.
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Follow with a gentle water-based cleanser if double cleansing.
Ritual Position
For an evening double cleanse:
Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil → Water-Based Cleanser → Tone → Treat → Moisturise
This product occupies the first cleansing stage of the Glass Ritual.
Glass Ritual Pairing
For the Pigmentation Collection, it pairs naturally with a gentle cleanser such as:
Ginseng Cleansing Oil → ROUND LAB 1025 Dokdo Cleanser → Pigmentation Treatment → Moisturiser
The cleansing oil removes oil-soluble residue. The water-based cleanser completes the cleanse. The pigmentation serum then performs the targeted treatment.
Each product therefore has a defined purpose instead of asking every step to treat the same concern.
Glass Ritual Principle: A well-designed ritual gives every product a job.
