This is a more active cleanser. The full formula contains salicylic acid, glycolic acid, gluconolactone, LHA and retinol in addition to its pigmentation-supporting ingredients. Practitioners using leave-on acids, retinoids, exfoliating pads or other intensive treatments should consider their total active and exfoliation load.

The formula also contains rosemary leaf oil, cedarwood oil and Litsea cubeba fruit oil. Those with highly reactive skin or known sensitivities to aromatic plant oils should take this into consideration.

Because this is a rinse-off product, its kojic acid, retinol, vitamin C or exfoliating acids should not be treated as equivalent to dedicated leave-on treatments.
